Hyte Park Festival @ Governors Island Beach Club, Saturday and Sunday July 12 & 13
The festival returns for its second year. This time, there will be two stages to house all of the electronic goodness going on the island. This year features Bill Patrick and Loco Dice on Saturday, then Nicole Moudaber and Chris Liebing on Sunday. Gates open in the afternoon around 4 p.m. so you’ll have plenty of time to get back on the level from Friday night’s festivities.

Thursday, July 10
Zeitgeist: Hot Chip (DJ Set), Klangkarussell, Headband and more @ Verboten
Verboten brings out another solid night of house to open the weekend. Hot Chip will be switching things up for a DJ set that is sure to bring their original spin to things. Then, Austrian duo Klangkarussell will spin house that should send you on a range of tempos and vibes.
Just Blaze @ Webster Hall
Just Blaze continues on with his weekly residency in Webster’s Grand Ballroom. He’ll holding down the Ballroom with DJ Soul. Be sure to check out the other room’s residencies going on as well. Tickets are $15 before midnight with RSVP.
Jacuzzi, Nadus, Obey City, Budo Kiba Collective, Subset @ Output
This week’s Input brings another offering of varied sounds and tempos. That’s the way a weekend should kick off. Most of the sets may skew to a more downtempo, but the dancing should not be a problem. Expect some R&B and hip-hop beats as well to round out the night.

Stop if you’ve read this before, but Brooklyn plays solid house sets. That trend doesn’t stop when Issac Tichauer heads to Glasslands Gallery. Brooklyn continues to have more and more venues hosting incredible house. Glasslands is one to check out for just that.
LOSE IT: The Blacklight Party w/ Eva Shaw @ Pacha
EVAlution touches down in Midtown Manhattan this Friday night. Armed with her usual big room weapons, Eva should have the crowd going with little trouble. This is one producer that knows how to put together quality big room sets.
Corin Roddik of Purity Ring, GoldLink and Empress Of @ Webster Hall
If you like downtempo, original beats, Webster may be your ideal destination this weekend. The trio of acts bring a varied mix of downtempo electro that works on a couple different genres, including some future bounce. Check this one out.
H.O.S.H., Climbers and Daniel Dubb @ Verboten
Verboten puts on another solid night of house and techno with this trio of acts. Mexico’s Climbers put together a variety of house that can take you from the lounge to the big room in a second. Toronto’s Daniel Dubb brings a mix of classic house and techno to round things out.
Ben Nicky @ Sankeys New York
UK hard trance is represented this weekend by Ben Nicky. Sankeys has gained a reputation as one of the city’s better venues to dance. If you’re able to go hard on some face-melting trance, Sankeys might be your spot this weekend.

Discovery with Auntie Flo and Pittsburgh Track Authority @ Glasslands Gallery
Glasslands has built their reputation as one that books solid up and coming acts. One is UK vet Auntie Flo and the “lesser known strands” of music in his sets. They’ll be joined by Pittsburgh Track Authority that can take you to an outdoor summer chill sesh to the dancefloor in one set.
TECHNOIR: D-Nox @ Slake
German tech house takes over Slake with the German duo D-Nox. Since opening, Slake has been welcomed as a positive addition to the NYC scene. Look out for affordable drink specials and come to dance. Impressing comes at a distant second.
Cash Cash @ Marquee
The progressive trio know how to make even the biggest room blow up. Their brand of big room brings the feel good vibes out of even the biggest dance music cynic. If you’re looking to explode with PLUR, head to Marquee on Saturday.
Vibal: Tedd Patterson @ Cielo
New York City house is on display at Cielo with Tedd Patterson. For a dose of old school house it will be hard to find a better option this week than Tedd. Take a trip down house music’s timeline with a set from a vet.
Alix Perez, Falty DL, Starkey and Marcellus Pittman @ Verboten
Bass on bass on bass, that’s what will be on Verboten’s menu. Whether it be Philly’s Starkey, the U.K.’s Alix Perez or anyone else on the bill you should be able to find your dose of dirty DnB.

Sunday, July 13
Clinton Sparks @ EVR
Clinton Sparks is an interesting dude. He may be playing mostly trap at the moment but this dude can drop a bunch of mixes. Head over to EVR to experience a mix that may cover progressive to trap with even a little deep house involved. Get there early. EVR isn’t so big and can fill up quick.
Sunday Brunch: Clockwork (DJ Set), Meandisco, Tano b2b Artwork @ Verboten
Another brunch will be served with a mix of deep house from Clockwork. Follow up the house with some electronic from Meandisco. Not a bad addition to brunch, would you say?
Cevin Fisher & Zenbi @ Cielo
Cielo closes out the weekend with a mix of house. Cevin Fisher brings it with a traditional brand of house while Zenbi kicks in with a driving brand of tech house that should make it hard to stop moving your feet. As always, Cielo is a go to spot for house fanatics in New York City.
