Random Promo of the Day: Robbie Rivera’s “The Thing”

After listening multiple times, we still are not quite sure what “the thing” specifically is, but it sure as hell makes for a sexy and intriguing tune. Actually, everything about this latest release by Robbie Rivera is just that: sexy and intriguing, with the word “Miami” written all over it. Throughout the track, Vinny Z poses the enigmatic question “Did you do that thing?” before the bass takes over. Raw, deep and tribal, the rhythm unquestionably takes center stage in this dance floor weapon. With its pulsating bassline and driving builds, the track is a true representation of the signature Club Space Terrace room afterhours sound. For those of you who have never seen the sunrise in the Terrace room on a Sunday morning, I’ll sum it up for you as simply as I can: raw, driving and deliciously carnal.

The track is scheduled to release on October 22 via Rivera’s own Juicy Music imprint, with remixes by Gary Caos and Hoxton Whores. In the meantime, here’s a little preview.
