Astra Kulturhaus

In one of the liveliest districts of Berlin you’ll find the Astra Kulturhaus which is a well established location in Berlin – for many reasons. From diverse parties and an a-list of international visiting live acts, the Astra is open to all types and likes, especially for friends of modern rock and contemporary electronic music, who can enjoy a great night out on two different dancefloors.

A whopping 1500 people can visit the venue at once, which is probably more impressive than its retro 50s lamps and reminiscent GDR nostalgia covering the interior of the former Rundfunkhaus.

The bars offer slightly pricey drinks, but at least the wait is never long as you have numerous bars to choose from. Top tip: choose the slightly hidden bar behind the stage (on the right) as it never seems to be busy, no matter how packed the rest of the venue is. It goes without saying that the only beer being poured is the famous Astra beer, one of the most renowned German brands with some of the coolest and funniest marketing slogans and merchandise alike.

The ambiance is easy going and friendly with a mixed crowd of young Berliners in their twenties and visiting partygoers from all over the world.

It’s a place where it seems that everything fits: the music, the visitors, the location (and the coolness of the brand).

Make sure not to arrive before 1-2am if sparsely filled venues intimate you.
