Bar La Java

The Bar La Java is a student bar and night club in downtown Strasbourg near the Marché Guyot. During the week this is a popular bar for students from the various faculties in Strasbourg. Every other Tuesday resident DJ Alex Nite plays an electro set  and on Friday and Saturday clubbers come to enjoy dancing to the guest DJ’s music choices. Deja-Vu, OmEgA, James Dinn, Guena LG, The Svens and many others have been invited or perform regularly here as guest residents.  

Theme nights and concerts regularly spice up the venue’s schedule. The Bar has three rooms, each with it’s own distinctive style. The “Rak” upstairs is a warm and friendly room featuring lounge and electro music. The “Mine”, downstairs, has a coal mining decor with wagons and oil lamps and it’s table setup is excellent for discussions among friends. The dance floor is also downstairs in the “Hold” and is large enough for dancers to be able to move freely to the beat of the music they prefer.  The Hold also hosts live bands in concert. The Bar la Java is open from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday to Saturday. Smart casual dress is required. Cover charge is 10 Euros; the cloakroom 2 Euros and is mandatory for security reasons  if you are going downstairs.
