Bembe has separated itself from just about every other club you’ve seen by utilizing recycled and found objects to comprise their environmental design. The idea was to bring together unique influences that would create one specific look recognizable to the New York crowd.

Global music bounces off the walls of this club, which has a distinct lounge feel to it. The nightclub features regular percussion sets every week as well. Mimicking their eclectic décor, Bembe brings in an assortment of music from all around the world. On any given night you can hear New and Old Brazilian Rare Grooves, Kuduro, Cumbia, Salsa, Global Bass, Reggae, Afro, Afro-Latin Bass, Afro-beat Bhangra, Electro, Boogaloo, Merengue, Arabic, Break/beats and even Mash Ups.

The nightclub has hosted such popular world DJs as DJ David Medina, DJ Sabo, The Cubma Mela Crew, DJ Stefande, DJ Gringo, DJ Nicodemus, DJ Jesse Mann, DJ Funkenstein, DJ Nappy and DJ Eddy Penty. Plenty more of New York’s best world DJs have spun there as well and Bembe isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
