About Black CatBlack Cat DC is situated at 14th St NW, a concert venue dedicated to the underground music, with a large spacious dance floor and a generous capacity allocation. They operate an all ages policy for concert attendees, but require underage people to be accompanied by an adult. Should anything need to be paid for, they accept cash only.
The bar at the venue is called the Red Room Bar. It is open every night of the week at different times and there is no cover charge to gain entry. To be admitted to that room, you must produce a valid ID in order to be served. This is because it has an all ages policy for concerts in place and strict laws need to be adhered to. It is fully stocked with local and imported beers and spirits so there should be something to suit everyone’s palate.
The main concert stage room is large and from any place on the floor there is a great sight line to the stage. There are also DJs who perform there monthly in addition to live acts. The Backstage room is downstairs and is a more intimate venue for smaller crowds.
Dresscode? Well, there isn’t one. It’s a rock venue so wear your best band t-shirt and jeans and come on down for a night of loud rock music to put some fire into your belly!
