About Cannery Ballroom

The building that’s now home to the Cannery Row Ballroom got its start in 1883 as a flour mill. Today this multi-level space is a live music venue that’s hosted acts like Jane’s Addiction, Third Eye Blind, Lucero, and Midnight Oil. Located several blocks off 8th Avenue South, it’s smack dab in the middle of the hub of Nashville.

There are actually two venues located within this space. Cannery Ballroom is on the ground floor, and can hold up to 1,000 people, while more intimate Mercy Lounge is upstairs with a 500 person capacity. There are limited seats available, but they fill up quickly so get there early if you want a place to rest your feet.

As for parking, you’ll also need to get there early – but not too early. The lot directly in front of the venue is free for customers, but not until after 5:30 PM. The lot is limited in the number of cars it can hold, and if it’s full when you get there you’ll be directed to a lot close by that will run you between $5 and $10.
