Take a few idealistic, committed and creative souls, an old railway station with bombed out buildings from WWII telling decades of street art stories on their walls, add a fair priced beer garden, a restaurant, a bunker that has been transformed into a rock climbing wall, throw in a gnarly skate ramp and as final highlight add an awesome club – Ladies & Gentlemen: Welcome to the Epitome of Cool – where subculture, creativity and art don’t have any limits, a cosmopolitan and creative place for music, parties, dancing, urban art and culture.

The Cassiopeia is not only known by international music acts, but also by music and art lovers who keep coming for years. People from all walks of life visit and party here regularly to music that is just as diverse. From parties, local and international DJ sets to bigger events like the institutional Berlin Hardcore Festival, the music spectrum spans from HipHop (and the occasional B-Boy throwing his/her moves), Reggae, Dancehall, Drum’n’Bass, Electro to Punkrock – with a metal band stopping by at times.

There is two dancefloors spread on two levels, each having its own bar serving very reasonably priced drinks. There are a variety of rooms and hallways holding different musical surprises or other creative art treats in every room. Despite its vastness, visitors enjoy a family like atmosphere and lounge room ambiance.

What makes the place is the breadth and diversity of the location itself and the sound of music accompanying wherever you go. There is not many places like these left in the world…

The Cassiopeia is an international drawcard for a mix of alternative (and generally more lefty) people as well as “normal” partygoers in their twenties-thirties, and beyond.
