About Cervantes’ and The Other SideA staple of the Denver music scene, if you like anything from dub step to country to rock, you’ll enjoy a night at Cervantes’ and The Other Side. The place is large enough to pack in a crowd, but still provides ample space to sit down, grab some air and even have a conversation.
Cervantes’ and The Other Side is one venue with two personalities. On the one hand, you have Cervantes’ is a stage with red curtains that could host any musical act or performance art. One thousand people can fit this hall. Here is where you’ll find larger electronic acts, some world music and larger rock and roll bands.
The Other Side is a stripped down performance area that would be best suited for artists who don’t need all the trappings. Artists performing Indy rock and rap play here as the area suits them fine, especially the local acts. Much smaller, The Other Side’s capacity is still four hundred people and it’d be hard to find a bad spot as there is room all round the stage and even a balcony.
The Other Side also features Magoo’s Pizza Parlor that serves up fresh slices and all kinds of bar food for when you need to reenergize.
If you like the current scene associated with Denver, you’ll need to check out Cervantes’ and The Other Side for music that won’t make the top 40, but is still great.
