Columbia City Theater

Nestled between Tutta Bella and the Columbia City Alehouse, the Columbia City Theater (not to be confused with the Columbia City Cinema), is an elaborate 1917 theater with amazing sound for a fantastic listening experience. Individuals at the Columbia City Theater are devoted to bringing the finest local artists and touring acts to their stage.

With a bar that is comfy and appetizing food from their kitchen, Columbia City Theater is a fantastic place to have a great evening with your friends. Moreover, the Columbia City Theater is furnished with a state of the art recording studio where they actually make records and record live shows.

Recently, Columbia City Theater was voted one of the top 5 music venues in Seattle by The Guardian and called “The city’s finest sounding room,” by SPIN Magazine.

What to Expect:

The Columbia City Theater boasts high ceilings, ornate trim, and a balcony that occasionally is used by Tutta Bella as an overflow seating area. Although this venue hosts many all-ages shows, in the entry hall you will notice a section called the “Hendrix Electric Lounge” where you can enjoy your adult libations if you are 21+.

On the 5 foot tall stage you will notice a grand piano which can played by the performing acts. Right in front of the stage is where the all-ages section of the is venue resides and about 10 feet back is where you will find the 21 and up crowd.

According to past guests the Columbia City Theater is loud, moderately priced and good for dancing. The best nights to swing by this venue are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights.
