Double Door

A 21+ live music venue, Double Door resides in the center of Chicago’s Wicker Park community. In fact, since June of 1995 it has been holding live concerts, concentrating on rock, metal, punk, rap, funk, soul and lots of sub-genres between.

With a capacity of 550 guests, Double Door has sponsored an assorted, varied and often renowned volume of live music events and of course night-life. Beginning with an unannounced Rolling Stones performance back in 1997, then carrying on to 2003 when Rise Against graciously filled in for a last second cancellation, to the group known as Sonic Youth participating in the 2006 after party in honor of Lollapalooza, Double Door’s stage has witnessed a number of the greatest acts from rising area acts to multi-national superstars. In fact, from time to time these local acts end up becoming major celebrities.

Mon 12 pm – 4:30 pm
Tue-Fri 12 pm – 2 am
Sat 12 pm – 3 am

What to Expect:

According to past Double Door guests it has a Hipster/Casual ambiance, is very loud, good for dancing and is moderately priced.
While past guests recommend heading out to Double Door on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, they will also tell you that there is no off-street parking, so be prepared to park and walk to and from your vehicle.
