Doug Fir Lounge

Doug Fir Lounge opened in 2004, and has since become such a favorite music spot that Rolling Stone magazine put the venue in the 13^th spot on their list of Best Clubs in America.

Located in the Lower Burnside area of Portland, Doug Fir Lounge can accommodate 299 people for standing room, and up to 200 for seated patrons. Tickets to shows can be purchased online in advance or at their box office. While shows are usually 21+, they do host all ages shows. Live music is almost every night of the week, so you’ll be able to get your ear candy whether you’re in the mood for gospel or rock.

From the inside, Doug Fir Lounge doesn’t look like your typical venue, but rather resembles a log cabin. Past guests not only rave about the quality of drinks and food, but also about the relatively inexpensive prices. Drinks are typically $7 or $8 each. Happy Hour is from 3p – 6p every day, food from the bar menu is available from 6pm until last call, and breakfast is served from 7am – 3pm. Some of the options you can get off the menu range from steak bites and grilled cheese to onion rings and angus all-beef sliders.

Doug Fir Lounge is open Monday through Sunday from 7am – 2:30am. Smoking is allowed outdoors only, and they don’t have a coat check. If you’re interested in hosting an event, whether it’s a birthday party or bachelorette party, the lounge is available for private rentals.
