These words encompass the world that is Eighteenth Street Lounge. Since 1995 this club has been changing the music and club scene in DC. This is not your run of the mill club management spot. This is independence defined; and because the owners are independently able to pursue their vision they have been able to create not just a club but a nightlife experience!

Eighteenth Street Lounge is a Victorian row house composed of 5 different areas bringing you a variety of styles, sounds, and atmospheres. The moment you walk into The Main Room you are instantly taken back in time.  Making you feel like you are guests at an exclusive swank part. The Jazz Room makes you feel like you just stepped into a juke joint in the Deep South.  Walking into The Gold Room is like taking an enhanced step back in time. A variety of Victorian styled furniture is mixed with neon and candle light making you feel relaxed and stylish.  Studio Bar continues that Victorian style while adding a bit of old time moxy. Deck Bar takes you out to view the city!  Its combination of mirrors and lights along with the city sky will wake up your night and keep you breezy and cool.

From Jazz to Funk, Reggae to Latin, and some of the best world class DJs spinning various forms of Electronica, you can experience it all at ESL! If you want to feel a direct connection to the sound, ESL showcases live bands five nights of the week. The fact that you are able to go to one spot and enjoy so many different sounds makes ESL a spot you must visit when in D.C.
