Fitzgerald’s

With a history of having opened its doors to musical heroes like James Brown, Steve Ray Vaughan, The Ramones and many more, “Fitzgerald’s” wooden floorboards have many stories to tell. The two-story building with its dingy interior and beach shack-like exterior, has been an institution for live music in Houston since the late 70s, preserving its own little character along the way.

Generations of audiophiles have graced the two dancefloors, caught some fresh air between the sets on either the patio or balcony, enjoyed well-mixed and affordable drinks at one of the three bars and probably wondered about the random cat that seems to live there, jumping around catching invisible things – no further questions asked.

If you love good music off the beaten track and don’t want to pay more than 20$ for a ticket (catapulting you back into good ol’ times), it’s “Fitz” all the way!
