Located on Florida Avenue in Washington, D.C. in the Shaw neighborhood, Flash nightclub, which opened in June 2013, was established by those in the music industry who wanted a space where everyone could be themselves.

The club level features wall-to-wall bench seating, a bar, and a dance floor while the ground floor – Flash Bar – has another dance floor, a DJ area, and another bar. They feature local DJs as well as those from all over the world, and primarily play house music.

They’re a 21+ establishment only. Flash has a coat check, and they do not allow smoking indoors; only outside. The club has a trendy vibe, so come dressed appropriately. They will turn you away at the door.

Take note that if you want to buy tickets for an event, they won’t take credit. It’s strictly cash only. The cover on a regular night ranges from $10 to $20. There are ATMs on the premises if you’re stuck for cash.

Flash is open Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 3am.
