Hare & Hounds

A live music venue that’s been running for 35 years, the Hare and Hounds kicked off with a gig by UB40.  Located in a grade 2 listed building, it continues to focus on bands and live music in an intimate, in-your-face venue.  Since the year 2000, local promoters have helped bring in DJs that span the electronic music genre from funk, to house, to hip hop and R&B.

In a romantic bare-bricked venue, the crowd is casual and easy going, and many friendships have been forged on the dance floor.  Check the listings as you’re equally likely to get a burlesque night as you are to find some dirty drum and bass, but this is ultimately a great live music venue, and if you catch the DJs here, it delivers something special.
