I-Boat

Located in the historic wharf area in the northern section of Bordeaux, the I-Boat was previously the ferryboat “Le Vendée” which upon retirement from service was converted into a pole for innovative electronic music and digital arts. This nautical venue on the Bordeaux waterfront offers an original combination of nightlife and culture. A complete night club and concert hall occupies the hold, while a reasonably-priced restaurant with tables for up to 80 people is on the lower deck and an exposition and cultural events hall on the upper deck. Indoor and outdoor bars serve drinks.

The night club offers live shows and DJ sets for clubbers and an after work scene as well. Microtrauma, Housecraft, Connan Mockasin, Kosme, Villanova Live, and Robosonic are just a few of the artists on the agenda. Entrance is by reservation only; tickets are on the order of  12 Euros and can be bought online and downloaded to a mobile phone or printed (click on the “Digitik” link on the I-boat website). The restaurant is open for lunch from 12.00 to 2.00, Tuesdays to Fridays and for dinner from 8.00 PM to midnight, Tuesdays to Saturdays. The nightclub is open from midnight to 6.00 AM. Smart dress is expected. Free parking available nearby.
