About John CollinsOn July of 2005, San Francisco bartenders John Guiffre & Colin O’Malley joined forces & fabricated a vision to open JohnColins lounge. Using their years of experience, this quest resulted in an ode to elements with an all-wood bar enveloped by twenty foot brick walls to contain an intimate party. John and Colin help to sustain this one of a kind atmosphere with the creation of a truly original elixir menu. Best of all, their highly trained staff will create an original libation for any customer, at any time; just ask.
On January of 2010, John Colins (with their original staff) moved to the historic Rialta building (a survivor of the 1906 quake). Their new location at 138 Minna brings the heart & soul of the old John Colins with the maturity of the times.
John Colins still posesses the beautiful high brick walls, original hard wood floors, and one of the most stunning and original bars in California to evoke the romance and decadence of an era once forgotten. The new John Colins also boasts a private VIP room, a mezzanine and a busy dance floor where some of San Francisco’s elite DJ’s bring their art to life throughout the week.
So whether you are a local or from out of town, find your way to John Colins and encounter a journey that is purely one of a kind.
Dress code strictly enforced. No baggy jeans, long t-shirts or sports gear allowed.
