Ideally located between the two Indie-venues “Astra Kulturhalle” and “Lido”, Magnet with its slightly eyesore facade, is another renowned hotspot in Berlin.

It has two spacious floors on different levels with plenty of seating and room to stand to either watch a band or dance to the music, and is notorious for getting busy and cramped. The stage on the main floor downstairs has the perfect size to make a show feel big but not impersonal. There is also an outdoor area available, but beware, you can easily get lost in the labyrinth of corridors and laneways on your way there, especially when you’ve already indulged in a drink or two.

There is two bars with very friendly staff catering to the thirsty crowd. With 1 Euro Tequilas and Vodka/Schnapps specials it attracts a more younger, mainstream and touristy crowd in their twenties.

A regularly changing roster of excellent bands and a variety of events to choose from each day of the week, cater to every taste and style and can easily fill a clubber’s schedule for the week. The music moves between Rock, IndiePop, BritPop, Hardcore, Electro and Disco.
