If variety is your jam, then Middlesex Lounge may be the perfect club for you. With a wide range of international DJs, it adds an eclectic flavor to the Cambridge area. If you get there early, don’t be fooled by the small bar and modest lounge, which is a mellow eatery by day. Rest assured, come 10 PM the line will form and the suede benches and hardwood tables will be rolled out.

The décor is sleek and chic, but the focus is all on the music. You’ll find everyone from young professionals, to dance fiends, to alternative dancers. This space is overflowing virtually every night they’re open, and the DJ booth gets crowded with requests.

This mild-mannered by day venue is also home to a projector that throws trippy animations up on a huge background screen. Take a break from the excitement to head to the bar, where you’ll find beers range from $3 – $9, cocktails from $5 – $10, and mixed drinks starting at $7 and going up to $10. There is a $5 cover charge after 10 PM on most nights.

Though you’ll find a packed crowd almost every night, Friday and Saturday nights are particularly popular, and electro nights wow the crowds on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
