About Music Hall of Williamsburg

With two levels of seating and three bars, there are many views at this hipster heaven with a guest capacity of 550. Formerly a mayonnaise factory, the Music Hall of Williamsburg is owned by The Bowery Presents; they’re the same people behind the Bowery Ballroom.

The venue has bars upstairs and downstairs and balcony seating. The place is largely focused on the indie music scene with a long list of past performances by renowned stars including John Mayer, Ani Difranco, They Might Be Giants, and Fiona Apple.

The crowd is varied and consists of musicians, hipsters, drunkards, music journalists, aspiring photographers – most people in their 20’s.

Dress code is casual and skinny jeans, animal t shirts, beanies, dark dresses, fishnets, and retro garb are a common sight.

Tickets for the varied concerts can cost anywhere between $15 and $30. Beer is moderately priced, ranging from $4 to $8. $25 credit card is the minimum at its bars.

The music is mostly indie and they also play rock, hip hop, and electronic; there are some mainstream acts as well.
