About Onyx Room/THINOn the ground level is Thin, which is fueled by a trendy and modern feel and a DJ blasting the hottest tracks. It’s more about mingling, conversation, and drinks than its counterpart. Upstairs is Onyx, the former Famous Door lounge that currently offers up a variety of music including Dubstep, 80s, jazz, rock, and house.
The dance floor can get packed, so expect to get hot, sweaty, and up close and personal with those next to you. Past guests rave about the atmosphere, but aren’t too fond of some of the staff that apparently have a bit of an attitude problem. Unless you get on a guest list, expect to pay a $20 cover. They don’t have a kitchen, so get your eats before you come. They do, however, have bottle service.
Onyx / Thin has a strict dress code, which includes no athletic gear, no sandals, no hats, no shorts, and no excessively baggy clothes. Come dressed in only your hottest ensembles as they’ve turned away people before.
Onyx Room was “created out of the remains of the infamous 1960s ‘Famous Door’ cocktail lounge” and blends the essence of the original cocktail lounge with a modern atmosphere of different genres of music and a lively dance floor. Double your fun and your memories at THIN and the Onyx Room.
Onyx / Thin is open on Tuesdays from 9pm – 2am, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm – 4am.
