About P1 Club

The P1 is located in the basement of the Munich art gallery (Haus der Kunst), one of the most renowned contemporary museums in Europe. The distinctive grid of columns, which casts a net over the whole groundplan, presets the constructive elements for the interior design. The P1 does not live on cheap gimmickry, but according to a consistent overall concept. Traditionally, it holds true to the principle of »no-design«. Accordingly, the interior is sparse, restrained and straight-lined. The main colors are black and white. The guest is the »star«. The new P1 consists of two club areas. For extensive club nights the main club with room for 600 people is ideal – it is centered by a 60 sqm large dance floor made of black marble, with the DJ pulpit in the middle, surrounded by bars, dancing podiums and booths with leather sofas. The so-called »Stüberl« (a bavarian word for »parlor«) is nice and neat. Six nights a week the 170 sqm night club acts as a living room for the P1 regulars. While the fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere, you can treat yourself to fine Pizza dishes and champagne. Opposite the bar, which has a fine assortment of vodka brands, a DJ lures guests from their luxurious settees onto the dance floor. For night owls the best place under the moon is the P1 terrace, close to the English Garden. The exquisitely furnished outdoor lounge covers 600 sqm – 300 sqm of them heated and canopied with atmospheric tulip shades. Take a leave from everyday life in the midst of the Munich City with Summer Cocktails, Night Food, light installations, walking acts and an open-air DJ. The 3D sound concept is unique in the disco scene – not only in Munich but in all of Europe. The concept was developed by the Fraunhofer Institute. The audio system made by Bose is driven by amplifiers that generate more than 25,000 watts of performance power. The sound is coupled with some 11,000 LEDs, 14 plasma displays and multiple projectors. A VJ can project a video generated in real time onto each light screen in the club.
