Plush in Downtown Austin is all about the EDM and hip hop music, as well as showing their guests a good time.

The space is small and can get really crowded, so if you can’t stand dancing while being right up against the person next to you, you’re better off going elsewhere. If you want to get to the bathroom, be prepared to take awhile to get there unless you’re dancing right near it. However, the crowd is friendly as is the staff, and you’re due for a good time smack in the middle of unforgettable energy.

While there’s no happy hour and no coat check, drinks are strong and reasonably priced, and you don’t have to wait a half an hour for each visit to the bar. Mondays are the RAAAW party where they feature bass music, and only bass music. Tuesdays are Drum and Bass night, and it’s always 21+. Their 80s parties are also popular.

It’s a dive bar, nothing fancy and no frills, but if you’re looking for a place that has great music without a pretentious attitude, Plush may be just what you desire. They’re open Tuesday through Sunday from 10pm – 2am. There’s no cover, so keep your money for the drinks.
