Robert Johnson

The “Robert Johnson” is a cool small club in Offenbach and one of the better addresses to visit on Germany’s Techno landscape. The club opened its doors shortly before the Millennium and is rated as one of the favourite clubs of the American music mag GROOVE, also attracting worldwide attention with its compilation series “Live at Robert Johnson”.

Located in a mall with no sign indicating a club, it can be a little hard to find, but once inside it is definitely worth it: video projections on the wall, great service, well-mixed and fairly priced drinks, a terrace and terrific sound playing the finest selection of electronic music off the mainstream track.

Generally hosting renowned House DJs from the local and international circuit, sunrise apparently comes too early when partying at “Robert Johnson”. The place can get fairly packed, so be prepared for an intimate clubbing experience.

Fluctuating opening hours raise the bar in exclusivity – best to check the website or order their newsletter, which is also the only way of viewing their club program.

A little trashy, a little underground, a little exclusive – but a diamond for electronic music.
