About Rockwood Music Hall

Rockwood is a prominent underground venue that has large windows that allow passersby to see who is on the stage.

The hall hosts a complete range of new and popular indie singers/songwriters. At times you will catch something completely atypical like a traditional tango guitarist or electronic act.

With barred windows, exposed brick walls, and a derelict piano, the main room gets a cluttered look of a typical basement jazz club. You’ll find rockers and flannel clad hipsters hanging out in the lounge or small bar on cocktail tables or old furniture.

Guests who want to visit the second stage would have to step outside and then back in through the other door, which leads to a goth inspired area with candlelit tables and wrought iron balcony.

The crowd includes indie rockers and the friends of the band, mostly in their 20s. Casual rock wear is the dress code here, which consists of jeans, band shirts, with occasional button downs.

Hot nights to check out in this club include Tuesdays and Wednesdays for live music. Bigger crowds usually gather on Fridays and Saturdays.
