Skyway Theatre

The Skyway Theatre, which has been recently renovated, is located in Minneapolis’s historic Theatre District, and has all the glamor and glitz you’d expect from such a storied location. It perfectly marries the modern technology and sleek appeal partiers are looking for, with the nostalgic past that’s made it such a popular spot over the years.

What was once a 6-screen movie theatre is now a full-fledged venue with numerous different areas, all with their own unique appeal, and each with a capacity between 200 – 2500 party-goers. The Main Theater is typically used for special events, live performances, and large parties, and has a capacity of 250 –2500 people. There are many sound and light options, and this space includes dramatic fifty foot ceilings and a 30 foot by 20 foot projection screen.

The Lobby Bar can handle between 100 – 200 people, and its focus is the gorgeous 20 foot granite bar. Lounge style seating and a large dance floor make it perfect for a cocktail party or DJ get-down. Studio B has a slightly larger capacity at 200 – 500, and is home to an 8,000 square foot stage, with a back bar.

Bar Fly is the lushest of them all, and is outfitted with oversized couches, local art, and an incredible sound and light show. This area alone has three areas to itself (The Boom Boom Room, the Main Bar, and the Patio), and is home to special events on a regular basis.

Finally we have The Loft, which is the fifth story space that’s hip, edgy, and ready for a party. The capacity can range from 25 – 800 people, depending on the event, and is frequently home to DJ parties from the best local and national artists.
