Stage 48 NYC

Built as a stable during the initial years of the Cold War, Stage 48 is a spacious, four-story nightclub located at in the western part of Hell’s Kitchen. The horseshoe balcony overlooking the main dance floor is a reminder of the original intentions of the builders. The balcony gives a bird’s eye view of the main floor.

The club is bigger than it appears from the outside. It has been designed to host huge events. Music professionals who have performed at Stage 48 include names like Taylor Dayne, Rusted Root, The Residents, and Cracker.

For corporate and private events, Stage 48 can house 400 people, standing room for 1,100, and offer on-site catering as preferred. The club features LED light show, a bamboo dance floor, full AV equipment, and 4 moveable projection screens.

The 34-foot wide main floor is another center of attention. Adjacent to the main floor are two full bars selling drinks at nearly double their prices.

The music is mainly house and the club is a somewhat reminiscent of a Vegas style.

The only gripe with the club’s design is the location of bathrooms–all of them are located on the second floor.
