About Subland

Ideally located on the outskirts of Friedrichshain, the club is hosted in the old transformer plant “Lichtenberg” and one of the few remaining underground locations in Berlin.

As the name already implies to smart foxes, the Subland is all about subculture and bass oriented sounds, at times even of the heavier kind. At this club you can move your toes to local and international DJs alike, spinning Drum’n’Bass, Dubstep, Dark Techno, Hard Trance, Industrial Metal – and sometimes even Reggae (don’t ask) – on such memorable tagged events as “Dreamland Goa”, “Dub of Good Hope”, “Pumped Up Kicks” and “Deathrave”. Due to zero neighbors anywhere nearby, the club makes the most of its fortune by blasting their sound system, fondly called “The Beast from the East”, in full volume.

The ambiance of the interior is quite raw and sparse, which is in strong contrast to the sand enhanced patches surrounding the building and an abundance of street art found on the compound. Measured with other venues in town, prices are moderate and fair – Subland is definitely worth a visit!
