About Subterranean Nightclub

If you’re looking for local EDM talent, up-and-coming Colorado DJs, and the occasional national name, like say, LA’s DJ Heavygrinder, Subterranean Nightclub is your spot in Colorado Springs.

Somewhat small (in the real estate biz they would refer to it as “cozy”), you enter Subterranean down a flight of stairs, much as you might expect, given its name.  The main room dance floor is headed by a DJ booth backlit by a reasonably large LED wall, and is overlooked by a balcony/mezzanine area, all of which is appropriately lit by the laser and spotlight show.  The interior is a mix of industrial (pipes, ducts, exposed stuff) and brick walls.  This is kick back and relax territory, you come to dance, no real pretense, no attitude, just beats, booze and friends.

Aside from the main room, there is also a lounge-type area with a pool table and additional seating.  To accommodate those with self-destructive tendencies, there is a covered outdoor area where you can smoke.  It features its own DJ setup, and heat lamps for when it gets cold.

As for the music, there are several regular nights, including Sunday’s goth/industrial themed Ritual Sundays, Mondays feature the bass-friendly It’s Just Mondays, and Thursdays usually have drum & bass, or something closely related.

As for the music: Sunday nights sees a goth/industrial invasion, with local residents, and is 18+.  Monday nights feature It’s Just Monday! an 18+ night with cheap drinks. Thursdays occasionally feature drum & bass.  Fridays and Saturdays feature a rotating lineup of EDM focused nights.

Subterranean frequently caters to the 18+ crowd, but does occasionally have 21+ nights (Thursdays in particular), so check their website for more info if you have kiddies with you.
