About The Bell House

The team that came up with Union Hall (Andy Templar and Jim Carden) has designed the Bell House. It brings a large performance space with a definite Adirondack feel to the crumbling brick Gowanus. You’ll notice two outstanding chandeliers dangling from the 25’ high arched wooden ceilings and a buffalo silhouette looming over the stage. The crowd is young but agreeably varied by Brooklyn standards.

There is an impressive supplementary bar that is backed by the large Hudson River School oil, which means that there is no need to leave the fun and music to get another pint of that Allagash White.

The unique design of the Bell House emerges the best in low lit and swanky front lounge, where there are generous armchairs, candlelit bistro tables, and inviting nooks.

In the front bar, there are 16 beers and well shaken cocktails. With ample seating and dialed down music, you’ll find the much needed respite from the crowds just a room away.
