The Cabooze

There are several venue options in the West Bank neighborhood, but only The Cabooze offers outdoor life events. Of course, during the frigid winter months there’s plenty of room indoors for patrons to get down and boogie with abandon.

You’ll find live music virtually every night of the week, which ranges from bands like Trampled by Turtles, to blue grass, folk, and of course epic dance parties with House, Hip-Hop, and Top 40 jams. There’s usually a cover charge, which ranges from $5 – $15, depending on the act that night.

No matter where you’re standing in the indoor, standing room only venue, you’ll have a great view of the show, thanks to the intuitive layout of the club. There are a few seats available in the back, but they are usually snagged by the first few patrons through the door, so get there early if taking a seat is high on your agenda.

The drinks are reasonable for a venue of this size: beers will run about $4 a bottle, or you can check out a mixed drink for $5 to $6. Their ongoing special is a 24 ounce Red Stripe or St. Pauly Girl beer for just $5.75. Expect to see an eclectic group of people at this hot spot, including bikers, students, club kids, and weekend warriors.
