The Dog

The Dog is a new club in Coventry, taking over the space that was once home to legendary club: Dog and Trumpet. They’ve got a new name, but have stuck to their old style; focusing on diverse high quality music and creating an intimate atmosphere. DJs playing here mix the old and the new. You could be listening to Motown, funk, ska, jazz, and reggae.

A variety of up-and-coming bands grace the stage, and on most nights they’re supported by DJs who set the scene and then continue the party. It’s a club that is down-to-earth, and attracts an older crowd. Open until 3am, the 300-person capacity venue ensures a cozy ambience and the variety of music makes for an interesting night whatever day of the week.
