About The Fillmore Detroit

The Fillmore Detroit is a beautiful historical venue located in the heart of Detroit’s entertainment district. Originally opened in 1925 as a movie house, this elegant venue was renovated to supply guests with a great concert and special event experience.

As you walk through the grand lobby of The Fillmore Detroit you are embraced by the nostalgia of the first Fillmore chandeliers along with the history they signify. Within the theater, the 80 foot ceiling is flanked by a hardwood dance floor in addition to the chandeliers. As you walk down memory lane, catch a glimpse of the notorious rock poster wall featuring a small sampling of the never-ending artists who have graced this stage.

This venue has drawn some big names from Bassnectar to Deadmau5 to LCD Soundsystem to Ben Folds.

What to Expect:

According to many past guest, the Detroit version of The Fillmore is one of the better venues of the franchise. One of the reasons behind this is because the theater of The Fillmore Detroit is in immaculate condition. In addition to this key fact, the sound system is stellar.

Should you be operating on a budget, you will be happy to know that The Fillmore Detroit will not burn a whole in your pocket book as it is moderately priced. However, if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you as it has been described by most as being very loud.

Nevertheless, I suggest that you wear comfortable shoes for two reasons. The first reason is that The Fillmore Detroit is a great place to dance and the second reason is that there is no off-street parking, so you may have a walk from and to your car.
Are you intrigued? If so, make sure that you head over to The Fillmore on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, as these are regarded as the best nights that it has to offer.
