About The Greatest BarThe Greatest Bar seems to want to cater to every demographic, and they manage to pull it off quite admirably thanks to the truly cavernous venue with multiple layers, each sporting its own unique vibe.
On the first floor you’ll find sports fans tipping back beers and watching the game on an enormous 14-foot flat screen. The balcony is a chill, laidback option for those who want to avoid the game and the bumping music in other rooms, and the dirty Water Room has its own bar, plus a popular pair of Skeeball machines. Be sure to bring your A game – regulars take this ‘sport’ seriously.
The top level is wrapped in iconic Boston murals, and features the Boston Room, the venue for club kids who want to get their dance on. The Boston Room is open Fridays and Saturdays, when the tables are pushed away and the crowd can dance to their heart’s content to Top 40 and typical club mashups.
Wannabe signers stop by on Thursdays, where they can take part in live band karaoke, and every Wednesday night a DJ stops by to spin Club and House music. Friday and Saturday nights have a $5 – $10 cover, though the Wednesday dance party typically does not.
