The Hi-Fi

Indianapolis residents or visitors who want to check out an intimate performance area, coupled with a unique art space, should head out to the The Hi-Fi, conveniently located at the Murphy Art Center in Fountain Square. They host everything from concerts, to dance parties, to art shows, and the Do317/MOKB Lounge Session Series.

The venue manages to do the impossible – to strike the perfect balance of an intimate house concert with enough appeal to draw in the big names. They are a 21+ venue, and though they have plenty of beer, wine and ciders in their rotation, there is no hard booze served just yet. Those with a thirst for cocktails or mixed drinks should visit one of the local bars before heading to The Hi-Fi.

They’re only open on event nights and they showcase some of the best local music. The capacity is just 195, yet this venue has managed to bring in several national acts.
