About The High WattHigh Watt is located on historic Canary Row and is one part of the trifecta of beloved Nashville clubs: Mercy Lounge, High Watt, and the Cannery Row Ball Room. They’re all adjacent to one another, and each one offers its own unique scene.
The High Watt features primarily local bands but occasionally showcases a nationally touring band who wants a night off from the crowds to give their fans an intimate, special event. Previous acts taking the stage include Allie Farris, Matthew Curry, and 65daysofstatic. You’ll find lots of CD release parties taking place at the High Watt, and it’s a great spot to find out what’s new in the Nashville music scene.
There is limited seating available, but it’s offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Most fans want to stay on their feet as the music courses through the venue, but if you’d rather sit back and relax, it’s best to get there right when doors open – which is usually an hour before the start of the show.
Drinks range from affordable to obscene, depending on the type of poison you’re after. A simple mixed drink or domestic beer could cost as little as $3, while the finest liqueur drinks could run you up to $18. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance, because there is no box office on-site at High Watt.
