About The Howard Theatre

The Howard Theater reopened in 2012 after extensive renovations that began in 2010 to restore the theater to its former glory.  The Howard Theater was and still is a DC landmark and treasure.  Located in Northwest DC, Howard first opened its doors in 1910 and for over 100 years has launched the careers of many music legends such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye and the Supremes!

The renovated theater gives the perfect visioning blend of old time concert theater hall mixed with very modern booths, lighting and décor.  Seating up to 600 guests this theater provides patrons a 30 foot stage, multiple bars, state of the art high end lighting and sound, a full service kitchen offering a decadent menu to please your palate, and even to this day brings you the best in entertainment of both modern artists and legendary icons.

The Howard Theater is more than just a place to see a show.  From the moment you see the gorgeous cream theater front with its classic street lamps and old theater sign to walking in and seeing the visual elegance of modern style mixed with historic charm you will forever remember each and every visit that you have to the legendary and iconic Howard Theater.
