The Institute – Temple Room

The Institute is a live music venue that is open throughout the week and offers a wide variety of music.  On stage one could find a reggae band or an Irish folk singer, but on other nights one could find a dirty set of drum and bass DJs rocking this intimate venue.  It delivers a big sound system, an unpretentious crowd, and some special one-off nights that get everyone excited.

While the DJ box is separated from the crowd and the support acts are not commercial names, when DJs like Sub Focus play live sets, The Institute really goes off. Check the listings and you can get lucky with some big underground techno names as well as the most sought after DJs.  For example, it’s always frequented by Fatboy Slim when he tours the country.  Get your tickets in advance, come to party hard, and you’ll go home happy from a night at the Institute.
