About The Plaza ‘Live’ Theatre

Originated as the first two-screen movie theatre back in the 60s, the historic Plaza Theatre has transformed into one of the most popular “hidden gems” for local musicians and larger acts, also hosting comedians as well as other cultural events.

This low-key venue with its two music halls is famous for its unpretentious, “anti-club-vibe” and boasts a wonderfully diverse roster of artists and performers, ranging from Tegan & Sara to George Clinton, Iron & Wine to The Radiators, John Denver to Danny Brown.

With a lobby offering food and drinks, prices are situated slightly on the upper scale, which can easily be overlooked with the help of great and very friendly staff. Regularly packed, the medium-sized venue also offers food-truck gatherings in its free parking lot – highlighting a creative star on the club-scene-entertainment-sky.

It’s all about music at “The Plaza Live”, so if comfort and flashy interior are not high on your priority list, this is the perfect place to see a great live gig!
