About The SocialFormerly known as “Sapphire Supper Club” and “Valentines”, the brick-walled spot nestled in downtown Orlando is the city’s most renowned Indie music venue – well-beloved by local music aficionados. Dimly lit with modern décor and an old classy feel, the venue hosts international and nationally touring acts, ranging from Black Rebel Motorcycle club to Qwest Love, Dillinger Escape Plan to CKY.
With a 400 person-capacity, the venue is more on the smaller side, making the often sold out shows a more intimate experience with a bunch of friends. Thanks to the tiered design, pretty much every spot in the club makes for good “sight-lines”, ensuring that even the shortest will be enjoying good value for money.
Being popular for their extensive Martini selection, quality imported wines and beers as well as fair pricing and decent specials, the long bar of the club can become an unreachable object of desire when the place gets packed. Once you’ve made it through though, the extraordinarily friendly and competent staff will make up sufficiently for the ordeal.
If you like dark, intimate spaces and good music, “The Social” is definitely worth to check out.
