The Walnut Room

The Walnut Room was formed by a former drummer who envisioned a venue local artists could play at, while the audience enjoyed the thin crust St. Louis style pizza he remembered from his Chicago childhood. This spot is equal parts local musician showcase, pizza parlor and bar.

Most of the musical acts The Walnut Room hosts are rock and roll, classic rock, Indie music or even easy listening type. It’s not the bar you’re going to go to for a wild night, although dancing is encouraged. For the kind of music they play, the management of The Walnut Room certainly makes sure the acoustics and effects are perfect. Simply because they’re not looking to rock the place apart doesn’t mean they don’t take their production seriously.

The hall also provides an intimate setting for listeners to get in nice and close to their favorite acts. It is also easy to purchase beer while the show is going on as there is access to the bar off to the side.

Since 2005, Denver has been talking about the pizza and draft beer served. If you love both of these things and find a favorite act of yours is playing, The Walnut Room is a great destination.
