About Tia Lou’sIn the heart of the see-and-be-seen territory that is Seattle’s Belltown district, Tia Lou’s offers the kind of atmosphere you’d find on one of those TV shows about clubbing. Pretty people, the latest and greatest tunes, liquor flowing like water, and the kind of party rock atmosphere LMFAO were talking about when they wrote that song. Tia Lou’s has been a longtime Seattle favorite, surviving the ups and downs of the Seattle scene.
Featuring a decent sized dance floor flanked by seating, an upstairs lounge area with billiards, sumptuous lighting, well-appointed VIP sections and a very enthusiastic crowd, Tia Lou’s offers variety: reggae and worldbeat on Wednesday, Latin Thursdays, hip hop/R&B/dance on the weekends, and more importantly for those incredible summer nights (good weather is a well-kept secret in Seattle) a spacious open-air deck with private cabanas connected to the upstairs balcony and lounge areas.
It’s loud, sweaty, and not for those looking for a lounge. If you’re in your mid-twenties, it is the kind of place you’ll drink yourself silly, and sweat it all out on the dance floor.
