About Tunnel

Tunnel was launched in 1995 in a warehouse near the Central Station of Milan. The area of the city and the structure of the venue, with its characteristic barrel roof, already suggest the mood that the club wants to set. Since its opening it has been a benchmark of the underground music culture in Milan.
With one of its focus being a favorite among the 90s alternative crowd of the city, Tunnel has presented several emerging talents and, at the same time, has hosted world famous interpreters of the music industry like Skunk Anansie, 99 Posse, Marlene Kuntz, Cardigans, Vinicio Capossela and Afterhours. Around its tenth anniversary, the club started to lose the experimental drive that had characterized it during the first years, and progressively it lost its public as well. Luckily the situation has changed since its new management: under Diego Montinaro’s guidance (from 2005 to 2009) Tunnel took off again with new and successful events, concerts and DJ sets. The improvements brought by the new direction has influenced many aspects of this nightclub, from its design to the equipment (interiors, stage, lights, audio system, console).
Every Friday Tunnel hosts “Voyage”, playing electronic music and new sound. On Saturday it’s Le Cannibale night.
