U Street Music Hall

U Street Music Hall is the true definition of “underground” nightlife. This basement club really is underground and has only been open in DC since 2010.  USMH is DJ owned and operated with the vision to keep it simple.  No frills, no fluff, no décor; just great music, awesome dance space, attentive service, and great prices.

USMH is marked simply by black doors with a black awning featuring the clubs symbol a capital “U” with a lightning bolt through it. You enter and go immediately downstairs and enter the hall.  Several things the club is noted for is the cork cushioned dance floor which makes it easy to dance all night long on. Also, as the club is DJ owned, the sound system is literally mind blowing for the space.  Go to any review sight and you can see that the sound system is one of the things best loved about the venue.

For an even more unique experience at this basement spot step into Backbar.  This micro bar is located in the back of USMH and offers a more intimate club experience.
