Underground Arts

Underground Arts is a two-room, 12,000-square-foot venue for music and performance art designed to bring international and national talent to Philadelphia while cultivating the local music/art scene.
Our events incorporate everything from bands and DJs to fundraisers, literary showcases, art exhibitions, and burlesque.
Since opening we have hosted an array of international, national, and local… talent including (but not limited to) Mark Lanegan, London Grammar, Cat Power, Goblin, The Melvins, the Peekaboo Revue, Pentagram, QuestLove, Bosnian Rainbows, Brazilian Girls, Man or Astro-Man, The Sword, Ultraìsta, Rebirth Brass Band, West Philly Orchestra, Vacationer, Man Man, Fred Armisen, New Sound Brass Band, The Helio Sequence, Big Freedia, !!!, Vista Chino, Red Fang, The Meat Puppets, Enemy Planes, Pissed Jeans, Souls of Mischief, Kvelertak, Eskmo, Kylesa, Here we go Magic, Creepoid, Daedelus, Salva, Willie Moon, Enslaved, Watain, Tao and the Get Down Stay Down, Gravyard, and many many more to come…
We also host a number of local events including Communion curated by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, Get Lucid! The Activist Dance Party, Logical Dance Party, West Philadelphia Orchestra’s monthly Balkan Dance Party, Nude Beach by Vacationer, Apiary Magazine releases, and the INFEST metal festival.
We have also hosted fundraisers for a number of local social justice/service organizations including The Attic Youth Center, Women Against Abuse, and Decarcerate PA.
