Urban Lounge

Though it’s sometimes referred to as a ‘hipster hangout’, the Urban Lounge is really a concert venue that caters to all sorts of tastes. Within walking distance of both downtown and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, this club is ideally located and easy to get to.

The club first opened as Urban Lounge in 2008, and though it was already a concert venue, the new owners went to great lengths to make it a top destination for local and nationally touring acts. There are 24 LED lights, available projector, a 22 foot tall video screen, and a 22 foot wide stage, all of which come together to make for a perfect party atmosphere.

Capacity is 400, which is the ideal amount to create an intimate atmosphere for everything from an acoustic act to a dance party, which is why they’ve drawn bands as diverse as Built to Spill, Ted Dancin’, Lisse, Dubwise: N-Type, and Nipsey Hussle. There are a bevy of drinks available, from steins of Coors Light to local brews like Polygamy Port, all of which are reasonably priced between $2.50 and $5.
