If you stop by Venu, a Theater District hotspot brought to you by the promoters behind Rumor, Cure Lounge, and District Lounge, and you’ll see sassy Latin fans alongside technophiles. They’re open every night except Monday, with doors at 10:30 PM and the dance floor loaded until closing time at 2 AM.

There are several rooms to this club, but the main room is occupied by DJs spinning electronica, Top 40 mash-ups, or Latin rhymes – depending on the night. Though the rotation is always changing, you can usually count on Wednesdays to be Latin night, and Thursdays are typically taken over by a mix of Trance, Progressive, and Dubstep. The cover charge ranges from $15-$30, though ladies can get in free before 11:30 PM on Saturdays.

Beyond the dancefloor, take a few stairs down to check out a room rimmed with lowback sofas and club kids relaxing. Cocktails are served up in plastic cups and range from $10-$15, beer will run you between $8 and $10, and bottle service starts at $300.

The décor is cooly contemporary, with block pillars alongside deep, wood finishes. Birthdays are the perfect time to visit: Slip a few bucks to the DJ and he’ll call your birthday out loud, to the cheers of your fellow partiers.
