Wanderlust

Located on the docks of La Seine just beneath the Cité de le Mode et du Designe, not far from the Jardin des Plantes: the Wanderlust is an open-air cinema, restaurant, and nightclub catering to many cultural events.  The venue boasts the largest terrace in Paris and many of the events and exhibits are related to fashion and design, with even the restaurant being experimental.  The contemporary design of the bar and club is suggestive of the industrial history of the 13^th arrondissement.  The full bar offers everything from beer and wine to cocktails, though the prices are on the higher side, as can be expected for a trendy Parisan nightclub.  From Thursdays through Saturdays, the DJs take over starting at 8:00 PM and the club’s lounge music is transformed by hip-hop, deep house, nouveau disco and other various sets, so clubbers can enjoy the chic and hipster ambiance until dawn.  Jay-Z, Roc-a-Fella, DJ James, Giuseppe Cennamo, Nox, J-art, Vanilla Ace and many others make up the live programs with a new series each weekend.  When the weather permits, the dancing moves onto the terrace.  Be prepared for a stylish dress code.  There is no cover charge for the terrace.  Cover charge for the dance floor will vary and ticket fees are provided on the venue website agendas.  It is recommended to arrive early as this popular venue is quickly packed.
