Summer may be coming to an end but the party lives on at NYC legendary hot spot Verboten. We are very excited to announce several brand new additions to its Culture Events Series this month, including two new art shows, the continuation of the much loved Willkommen Deep House Yoga sessions and DJ Brunches (see below for a sneak peek at some of the items you can expect on this fall’s menu). We’ve put together a timeline so you can start filling in your weekly planner.

August 13 Wunderkind Trivia Night (free)
Verboten has joined forces with TrivWorks to bring music lovers this team-based competition with prizes that include bar tabs, VIP club tables, Chalk Gym memberships and tickets to Verboten events (just to name a few). Doors open at 7 p.m., and the battle begins at 8 p.m.
August 16 Wasabassco at Verboten: Rock & Roll Fantasy
Rock & Roll Fantasy is a striptease burlesque spectacle that combines irresistible sexy with fun, smart and lackadaisical ladies. The show stars Evelyn Viny, Medianoche, Nasty Canasta, Dolly Dbutante, Dangrrr Doll, Harvest Moon, Nina La Voix and Audra Pace, and is hosted by self-proclaimed “Golden Glamazon” Sydni Deveraux.
August 19 Outdoor Deep House Yoga: Willkommen in the Park 6-10 p.m.
The name itself should be enough reason to entice you into going. Deep House Yoga takes place every Monday and Tuesday in at Havemeyer Park and is led by famous yogi Elena Brower along to sounds by Willkommen residents George Faya and Tasha Blank. Beer, wine and light tapas are always available.
August 21 MELT. Art Show 8-11 p.m.
Verboten’s MELT. exhibit features photography, mixed media and sculpture work by some of New York’s most talented artists. Music will be provided by Joe Foxton and a special guest.
DJ Brunch: Saturdays and Sundays
Verboten’s famous DJ Brunches return every Saturday and Sunday to the skylit Cabaret Bar, serving food from noon until 8 p.m. to the tunes of some of Verboten’s most storied artists.
